Learning Opportunities for a Lifetime

No matter what your age or where you are along your spiritual journey, Congregational United Church of Christ Greensboro provides continuing opportunities for spiritual growth and enrichment.
Sunday School Calendar for 2009/2010
- August 30 - Sunday School begins!
- December 27 - Christmas Holiday
- May 30 - Last Day of Sunday School
Sunday Morning Schedule
- 9:30 - Opening Assembly for all Sunday School Classes
- 10:00 - Preschool, Children, Youth, and Smith Class - Lower-Level Classrooms
Nursery
- Ages Birth-3, Director: Evelyn Blane
The nursery provides childcare for children younger than 3 during Sunday School, and for children up to age 6 during Worship. It is staffed by Regina Hayes and two adult volunteers. The nursery is also open during special church events.

Children
Children’s classes meet during the regular school year, breaking for summer vacation. These classes are organized by age:
- Ages 4-5, Teacher: Fran Ditto
This class offers a fun, loving, and welcoming environment for children age 4-5.
- Ages 6-10, Teachers: Katherine Rowe and Leisa Slensby
This class features Bible lessons in a fun setting for ages 6-10.
- Ages 11-13, Teacher: Amy Usry
The Youth Class, for children in ages 11-13, enhances faith formation through engaging Bible study.
Adult Sunday School
 In addition to classes for children, Congregational United Church of Christ offers a variety of learning opportunities for adults:
- Smith Class - Teacher: Clifton Karnes
Bible study based on the weekly readings used in worship.
- Jordan/Wisseman Class - Teachers: Midge Rasey and Nancy Glenz
Year-round senior adult classes that use the International Lessons series.
- Rowland Class - Teacher: Sherrill Hall
Year-round senior adult classes that use the International Lessons series.
Additional Programs
 In addition to Sunday Morning programs, Congregational provides other enrichment programs:
- CUCC Book Group
- Supper Study on Wednesday evenings throughout the school year.
- Annual church retreat each Fall in Blowing Rock, NC.
- Covenant groups meet regularly to explore and discuss issues related to a central theme.
- Study groups meet on an ad-hoc basis to discuss spiritual or moral topics.
