The Rowland Bible Class studies the Bible through the use of the Uniform Series: International Bible Lessons for Christian Teaching. It is the opportunity to dig into the meaning of the message in the selected Bible verses. Discussion and interpretation of verses help participants with their understanding of the Word.

The Uniform Series has seasonal themes:

  • Winter – “God’s Call to the Christian Community” based on Luke. Theme Call (13 weeks)
  • Spring – God, the People, and the Covenant” based on 1 and 2 Chronicles, Daniel, Haggai, Nehemiah. Theme: Covenant (13 weeks)
  • Summer – “Images of Christ” based on Hebrews, Gospels, James. Theme: Christ (13 weeks)
  • Fall – “The New Testament Community” based on New Testament Survey. Theme: Community (13 weeks)

It is always challenging and exciting to discern the layers of meaning and the context of the message to deepen ones faith and trust in God. In the Rowland Class we look for what the Bible means to us for our own journey with God.
