Congregational UCC News
Book Sale: The CE Board will have a book sale next week following worship. The books will be displayed on the lower level, in the rooms across from the Smith Classroom. We have a wide selection, and books will be priced to move. So, if you are looking for some affordable good reading, we hope you come to the sale! Proceeds from the book sale will go to help offset the costs the All-Church Retreat.
Flu shot clinic and health fair will be held on Sunday, October 26, following worship. Hold the date and stay tuned.
CROP WALK will take place Sunday, October 19, beginning at 2.30 pm.
Supper Study on Wednesday: Wednesday the 15th, we will have our Political Forum, with candidates for elected office joining us. The meal will begin at 5.30 pm (note time change), and the conversation will be from 6.30 to 8 pm. The meal will be: lasagna, salad, fruit, and patriotic dessert. Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children.
Santas Elves: We are still looking for elves that would like to help out with needy families at Christmas time. We would be supplying groceries for the family, holiday treats and gifts for the children. If you would like more information you can contact Santa. santaselfgso@aol.com, or speak with Ralph Wenger.
Neighbors in Need one of the UCC Special Offerings, will be received on Sunday October 19. Offering envelopes will be available that day.
